Region Seven Updates

Region 7 is a group of nine Michigan counties brought together through the efforts of the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) for the purpose of supporting each community's 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness.  Michigan was the first state in the nation to produce a statewide 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness.  This "plan" is not monolithic but more a collection of    community plans with the intent to address the unique needs of homeless individuals and families in their specific community setting.

Region 7 is composed of the

following counties:

Clinton

Eaton

Ingham

Jackson

Hillsdale

Lenawee

Livingston

Shiawassee

Washtenaw

Region Seven Membership

The Region Seven group is composed of two representatives from each of the nine counties.  Some communities have designated alternates as well.  In addition, statewide collaborative partners like MSHDA, the Corporation for Supportive Housing, the Department of Human Services and the Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness also participate in meetings.

Face-to-face meetings are held quarterly commencing in January.  Monthly conference calls are held in the remaining months.  These calls are generally held on the third Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m.  MSHDA provides the conference line and code for this call.
